SYNOPSIS
Anima follows Helena, a forensic investigator overwhelmed by grief after the death of her husband. When she becomes obsessed with a disturbing new case, she begins to believe she may have found a way to bring him back.
As her fixation deepens, Helena spirals into a world of denial, loss, and increasingly terrifying events. What starts as a desperate attempt to reunite with the man she loved soon unleashes consequences far beyond her control.
Blending psychological horror, supernatural elements, and an emotional exploration of grief, Anima examines the devastating cost of refusing to let go.
FESTIVALS & AWARDS
Release & Reception
The film was released on July 10, 2020 through video-on-demand (VOD) by Quiver Distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over time, the film has gained a cult following as a “so bad it’s good” production, often compared to the low-budget action thrillers that defined the 1990s.
